Scientific studies suggest that the variations in growth are still significant, even when the spiders are kept under the very same conditions and “power feeding” these tarantulas. In the study mentioned below, 500 specimens were kept at the same conditions and the maturity process still varied almost with one year difference – reaching adulthood between 4 and 5 years.
